When promoting your websites through the ETARGET service, your ads must comply with the following Advertisement Creation Rules. If you want your ads to display without significant changes, please carefully review the specified rules.

Basic rules for displaying ads in the ETARGET network and other partner networks:

  • The advertisement must not contain vulgar words and expressions.
  • Advertisements for gambling, betting, and knowledge games are prohibited, except for licensed advertisers.
  • Advertisements for alcohol, tobacco products, and products related to their use are regulated by the advertising and retransmission laws of the respective country.
  • Advertisements for weapons, ammunition, and explosives are regulated by the respective country's laws on weapons and ammunition.
  • Advertisements for adult products (pornography, sex toys, medical supplements...) are allowed; however, due to the nature of the advertisement, their display may be limited or rejected in some partner networks.
  • The advertisement must not contain sexually provocative expressions, nudity, or depictions of people in explicit or suggestive positions.
  • Online dating services are allowed in the ETARGET network; however, due to the nature of the advertisement, their display may be limited or rejected in some partner networks.
  • Medicines and medical supplements are allowed in the ETARGET network as long as they do not contradict the law. Due to the nature of the advertisement, their display may be limited or rejected in some partner networks.
  • Advertisements for dietary supplements and weight loss products are allowed as long as they do not promote unauthorized substances or any other products considered dangerous at their discretion.
  • Advertisements for MLM (multi-level marketing) are allowed in the ETARGET network provided they do not encourage fraud or other criminal activities, do not mislead customers, and are not deceptive. Due to the nature of the advertisement, their display may be limited or rejected in some partner networks.
  • The advertisement must not promote or encourage illegal or criminal activities, must not be misleading, and must not be deceptive.

    The title and description of the advertisement must:

  • Be written in Slovak and comply with Slovak spelling rules.
  • The page to which the advertisement directs must be written in Slovak or Czech.
  • Be clear and objective.
  • Directly relate to the content of the page the user clicks through via the advertisement.

    The title and description of the advertisement cannot contain:

  • Contact information (email, phone numbers, address, etc.).
  • Names of competing companies and products.
  • Repeated expressions, phrases, and formulations in the title and description.
  • Abbreviated words, except for commonly accepted ones (e.g., etc., etc.).
  • Vulgar and slang expressions.
  • Universal expressions calling to action such as "click here," "visit these pages," which can be used in any link regardless of its content.
  • Mathematical symbols, multiple spaces, and characters (+, <, >, ::, |, { }, :-), etc.).
  • Capital letters alone.
  • The advertisement may contain a maximum of one exclamation mark.
  • Words with capital letters except for commonly accepted expressions like CD, DVD, CD-ROM, etc.
  • The name of your company may be written in capital letters only if it is stated this way in the Commercial Register.
  • The price of your product/service unless it is also listed on the website the advertisement directs to.

    Keywords:

  • Must relate to the content of the webpage the user clicks through via the advertisement. In the case of low effectiveness (ratio of impressions to clicks), they will be suspended by the system.

    Images:

    An image should support the targeting of your advertisement and attract those people who are interested in your product. It will also capture the attention of internet users who primarily focus on images and then on the text.

    Ideally, the image should precisely depict the offered product or service. The clearer its content, the more relevant customers you may gain for less money.

    The image for your advertisement must:

  • Directly relate to the content of the page the user clicks through using the advertisement.
  • Be adjusted to a size of 1200x630 px, with a maximum size of 500 kb.

    The image for your advertisement cannot contain

  • Contact information (email, phone numbers, address, URL, etc.).
  • Names of competing companies and products.
  • Advertising images must not contain more than 20% text.
  • Images must not contain the company logo.
  • Content promoting illegal activities (e.g., incest, fascism...).
  • Vulgar content.
  • Text calling to action such as “click here,” “visit these pages,” which can be used in any image regardless of its content.

    Main reasons for your ads being suspended:

  • Non-functioning website.
  • Irrelevance of the advertisement text to the content of the specified webpage.
  • Opening additional pages after opening your webpage mentioned in your advertisement.
  • Missing contact information on your webpages.
  • Lack of terms of use on the site.
  • Content of the page that is contrary to the law or promotes things that are against the law.

    We recommend that you:

  • Ensure the title and description of the advertisement contain the subject of activity or the offered product/service.
  • Use words like “free,” “new,” “promotion,” etc. only in relation to the product placed on the page to which the advertisement directs.
  • Create more ads with URLs directing to subpages of specific products.
  • Enter a maximum of 2-word phrases as keywords.

    These are the basic rules for submitting your advertisements, which may be modified or supplemented in various ways. Your advertisements and the keywords submitted with them may be repeatedly reviewed and possibly modified.
